Service Description

After a decade of working in early intervention and early childhood special education settings, we understand that parents care deeply about their child's development! We can help you support your young child by identifying your child's areas of strength and areas of challenge. Like everything else we do at PILEA Play, evaluations will be play-based. And while we will identify areas of challenge, we will use a strengths focus to celebrate all of the wonderful things your child CAN do! Our developmental evaluations explore skills in the following domains: Cognitive (Play Skills) Social (Interactions with Others) Adaptive (Self Help Skills) Communication/Language (including visual communication & ASL development if applicable) Fine Motor (Small Movement Skills) Gross Motor (Large Movement Skills) Evaluations are composed of 4 parts: 1. Parent Interview (1hr) 2. Standardized/Norm-Referenced Play Based Assessment (1 hr) 3. Observation at PILEA Play (1hr) 4. Observation outside of PILEA Play (could be in the child's home, at the park, preschool, or any other setting that the child is comfortable in). (30 minutes) You will receive a comprehensive evaluation report which will outline results and recommended next steps that you can share with your child's nanny, teacher, pediatrician, etc. You will also receive a free hour consultation on how you can help your child reach their next developmental step, using their strengths! Please note that we cannot diagnose medical conditions such as ADD, Austism, Anxiety, etc. However, we will discuss any questions you have and help you locate appropriate resources.

Cancellation Policy

For Birthday Party rentals, we can offer a full refund (minus our transaction fee 2.9%+$0.30) up to 4 weeks before your reservation. We can offer 50% refund up to 3 weeks before your reservation and 25% up to 2 weeks before your reservation. If your reservation is within 14 days and you need to cancel, we may be able to move your reservation to another day. For any cancellations or rescheduling, please email us at info@pileaplay.com
