Summer Enrichment Camps at PILEA Play! Join us this summer for playful learning! These camps are run and facilitated by certified career educators with a passion for playful, child-led learning. Inspired by Montessori and Reggio pedagogy, our camps will actively engage your child in practical life skills and academics through play, art and tinkering. Our camps are designed for elementary aged children ages 4-8 (entering kindergarten- entering third grade). Our camps are also community centered, intentionally offering opportunities for children to explore, learn about, and participate in their local community. Each week will include at least one walking field trip to a Multnomah Village business, service, or park. After the visit the children will engage in meaningful projects and play inspired by their visit. For this camp, we will be partnering with Sarah Bellum's Cupcake Workshop! The students will receive a lesson from one of the lead bakers on the basics of baking. The students will also learn about how Sarah Bellum's supports people who have experienced traumatic brain injuries. The campers will spend time each day exploring baking ingredients, making their own concoctions learning through trial and error, and explore decorating/finishing touches for their creations. Campeers will also engage in a community service project related to baking. The community service project will be camper driven based on the campers' interests and talents. Our daily rhythm will be influenced by the unique group of campers each week, but will follow a daily structure of: Welcome activity and gathering Open-ended play inspired by our visit or project Group Snack Walking field trip or structured group activities Closing Circle Monday through Friday 1-4PM. Cancelation Policy

For Open Plays, we are happy to refund 100% w/24 hours notice. Under 24 hours notice, we may be able to transfer your reservation to another day. For Private rentals, we can offer a full refund (minus our transaction fee 2.9%+$0.30) up to 4 weeks before your reservation. We can offer 50% refund up to 3 weeks before your reservation and 25% up to 2 weeks before your reservation. If your reservation is within 14 days and you need to cancel, we may be able to move your reservation to another day. For any cancellations or rescheduling, please email us at info@pileaplay.com
